DING DONG, 4CHON IS DEAD by moo - 04/29/26 @ 9:00AM EST
Well, I guess this is the end. 4chon is officially meeting its death. In my opinion, the site was killed by the following things:
A complete lack of contribution. The only people who posted were tourists from other dead splinters I've advertised to, with no luck for anyone active to post on, except one contributer—me. Reminder to me: A dead or a inactive imageboard is a good imageboard.
I've tried, I really did—but I got nothing from it, there's nothing left from me.
Last but not least, me. I am sick of running this. It ceased being fun a long time ago when I ultimately realized, nobody is going to post on 4chon.org—nobody is going to post on a dead and inactive imageboard with only two boards, barely anyone was using 4chan.party, let alone.
I'd really like to list the people who helped me run the site, but there aren't any. It was just me and myself, staring at an dead /qa/ board eventually waiting for someone to post a thread and validate my $7 domain purchase.
There's not much left to say. I tried to build a community, I really did—but you can't force people to give a single fuck. It's not the 2010s anymore. I am pulling the plug. I'm sorry. Feel free to email me. (giving you a tiny hint: it's my name.), there is no point in running this anymore.
It was a run. Thanks for riding the world's shortest, slowest rollercoaster.
FUN STATS (for the entire lifespan of the site):
Successful server requests: Like, ~4,500—estimated? (If not for the bots.)
Total distinct hosts served: 47 (and some of them were maybe VPNs)
Total files hosted on this site overall: 12.36 MB.
Thanks for visiting 4chon.org.
MOONOTE: I won't be giving out the DB—(ANOTHER HINT: It's small, there's nothing worthwhile to look for anyways). DIY or don't when setting Yotsuba up. I don't care.
